RAHMAD HIMAWAN

Hi, thanks for visiting my portfolio. My name is Rahmad Himawan, and I am a full-time landscape and documentary photographer based in Bengkulu, Indonesia.

Photography has been my passion for almost a decade. I am particularly drawn to genres that explore natural landscapes, cultures, and human interactions especially the fleeting moments when nature and humans meet in powerful and unexpected ways. For me, photography is not just about capturing beauty, but about capturing stories, emotions, and moments that may never be repeated.

Most of my work is inspired by the wonder of unexpected natural phenomena sunrises, storms, fog over mountains, or spontaneous moments of human connection rather than conceptual ones. These are the kinds of scenes that speak to me, and through my camera, I try to preserve them and share them with others.

Over the years, my photographs have been printed in personal magazines, used as interior decorations, and shared in various photography communities. I am also invited to speak at photography events and workshops, where I enjoy sharing insights from my 9-year journey behind the lens.

In addition to these images, I also write blog articles about the natural beauty of Indonesia, behind-the-scenes moments, and the stories behind my favorite photos—whether they’re rare, dramatic, or just plain old. Every image holds a memory, and through this portfolio, I hope to share some of those stories with you.
